Romeo & Juliet

Young Love, It Might Just Kill You

06:00 PM at YSP Playhouse (Length: 2hrs)

In the streets of Verona another brawl breaks out between the servants of the feuding noble families of Capulet and Montague. Romeo, the son of Montague, falls in love with Juliet, the daughter of Capulet. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written early in the career of playwright William Shakespeare about two young “star-cross’d lovers” whose deaths ultimately unite their feuding families. It was among Shakespeare’s most popular archetypal stories of young, teenage lovers.

The Young Shakespeare Players (YSP) is a non-profit theater program founded in 1980, invites youth, ages 7-18, to perform full-length, original works of Shakespeare, G.B Shaw, and Charles Dickens. YSP tackles Romeo & Juliet in this full-length production. Bring your family. Bring your friends, and watch this classic performance reborn with performers ages 7 through 18 years.

Romeo & Juliet, a full-length, summer production for ages 7-18 performs daily Aug 10-Aug 20, 6 pm; plus Aug 13 & Aug 20, 11 am; & Aug 21, 1 pm.
