Building Community. Reserve Your Space. Madison Nonprofit Day announces the 2010 Schedule of Events. Over 35 activities, workshops, tours have been announced, and a few more are coming. This year we have two food based events: A Taste of Atwood Luncheon and a Green Grub Potluck Dinner —sustainable and local is a theme this year; Olbrich Garden’s has graciously provided 30 free tickets to Blooming Butterflies; a number of programs for seniors and their caregivers; and as always a mix of nonprofit educational opportunities that range from strengthening your board, raising money, to building your brand and or your website. The Collaborative Fundraising Project is a pilot effort to explore innovative ways of raising funds, especially for smaller nonprofits. The idea, at least its implementation for the Madison Nonprofit Day, is very simple. Each nonprofit interested in participating in the program recruits at least one business to make a donation.
